Veer Baal Diwas Celebration

Did you know about the sacrifice of Guru Govind Singh's young sons Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh?
Largely omitted from our history books, not many Indians outside the Sikh community know of their supreme sacrifice to their faith.
Guru Govind Singh's young sons Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh were bricked alive in a Minar by Aurangzeb in 1704 in front of their grandmother Mata Gujri, who died of shock.
When captured by the Mughals, the two sons of Guru Gobind Singh, Jorawar Singh (7 years old) and Fateh Singh (7 years old) were offered safe passage if they converted to Islam. Both refused, and so Aurangzeb's men bricked them alive.
Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Baba Fateh Singh Ji preferred to lay down their lives instead of deviating from the noble principles of Dharma of their faith.
Today, the Indian government has notified Dec 26th as Veer Baal Diwas. It is now being celebrated across India to bring awareness to a historical event in India's history and inspire school children with principles and bravery.
#VeerBaalDiwas is a befitting tribute to the courage and sacrifices of a two brave young kids. Their undaunted courage, unflinching faith and unparalleled heroism have given strength to millions across the world and continue to inspire us.
